The Mountain Radio EU has a specialized rechargeable, cold-resistant lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 1550 mAh.

Battery life is dependent on how frequently the radio transmits and receives. With normal usage, the battery can be expected to last at least four days even in very cold conditions. The batteries have passed the tests on big mountains from Denali to Everest.

The battery will last well over 120 hours when in standby mode, when the radio is on but not transmitting or receiving signals.

The battery charges via standard USB-C charging.
